New work as of March, 2016
A week after “Rhyme and Reason” ended, I collaborated with Alec Hoogland to put on a joint show of our work at Old Master.
Images from a recent show at Old Master of Marion titled Rhyme & Reason. The show was a collaboration with several other local artists.
November update: I’ve started working with paint and gold leaf to add some depth to the images and get away from ‘straight’ photos. The imagery is still appropriated through public license, but being altered much more.
Supplemental images for October. Working with anaglyphic maps and charts to create a sort of ‘hyper-space’ for the viewer.
I have been working in a serial fashion, exploring the surface of the earth through available public imagery.
I was encouraged to explore a very specific area and try to ‘mine’ from it. I chose a three block radius from my house. I appreciated being a new resident to the area, so I was able to view the area as a visitor and a resident at the same time.
