An early audio sample of work to accompany an installation of work at the Center Hall Galleries in Marion, IN.

New work as of March, 2016
November update: I’ve started working with paint and gold leaf to add some depth to the images and get away from ‘straight’ photos. The imagery is still appropriated through public license, but being altered much more.
Supplemental images for October. Working with anaglyphic maps and charts to create a sort of ‘hyper-space’ for the viewer.
I have been working in a serial fashion, exploring the surface of the earth through available public imagery.
I was encouraged to explore a very specific area and try to ‘mine’ from it. I chose a three block radius from my house. I appreciated being a new resident to the area, so I was able to view the area as a visitor and a resident at the same time.
How is it already August?
I’ve gotten some feedback that my work to this point has been very contrived and almost completely base…
Well, it’s June and the next residency is fast approaching. Life is busy as we get ready to close on our house and packed with travel for almost all of June.
Everything interesting to me happens in the interstitial space that a photograph can demarcate but never occupy.
